11,056 QUARANTINED INDIVIDUALS HAVE SO FAR LEFT FOR THEIR HOMES-NOCPCO
15 individuals who underwent quarantining at tri service-managed Panichchankerni (7) and Rajagiriya Ayurveda Hospital (8) Quarantine Centres after conduct of PCR tests on them left for their residences today (29th May 2020) with Quarantine Certificates. Accordingly, by today (29th May 2020), a total of 11,056 individuals quarantined in tri service-managed Quarantine Centres (QC) have left for their homes, a statement issued by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak NOCPCO stated.
As of now, 5,154 persons are still in quarantine in island-wide 44 QCs, run by tri services. By today (29th May 2020), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stands at 708 in total, including 26 sailors reported in the past 24 hours. Out of them, fully recovered 366 infected sailors have left hospitals and the rest still under treatment in hospitals stand at 342, the statement concluded.
