ARMY AND AIR FORCE TROOPS DOUSE SUDDEN BUSH FIRE IN BANDARAWELA
A sudden bush fire that erupted in Dowa Mahawanguwa area in Bandarawela was jointly brought under control on Saturday (13th June 2020) by troops of the Security Force Headquarters -Central, 112 Brigade and Air Force Camp in Diyatalawa, together with fire-fighters of the Bandarawela Urban Council.
Those military teams, made up of one Officer and 20 Other Ranks of the Security Force Headquarters - Central, one officer and 10 Other Ranks of the 112 Brigade and one officer and 24 Other Ranks of the said Air Force camp quickly responded to the emergency and doused the fire that was fast spreading.
All military personnel on the directions of the Commander Security Forces -Central and the supervision of the Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade contributed to the emergency soon after it was brought to their notice.
