CDS ATTENDS THE OPENING CEREMONY OF SLAMC OFFICERS’ MESS

At the cordial invitation extended by Brigadier PAC Fernando USP, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and Director General Army Health Services, the Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, attended the opening ceremony of the newly constructed Officers’ Mess of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps at Werahera on 09 November 2022.

Fulfilling the long standing requirement for the officers and doctors of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and the Tri Service officers and doctors of the KDU hospital, this state of the art mess complex was declared open by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General G D H Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil who was the Chief Guest of the event. Also, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, former Secretary to the Ministry of Health & Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, Major General Sanjeewa Munasinghe RWP RSP VSV USP, Vice Chancellor KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, and many more senior officers attended the event.

Concluding the simple programme, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and Director General Army Health Services delivered the vote of thanks.
