THE CDS WISHES FOR THE NEW DA IN USA

Before leaving the motherland to assume duties in the new appointment as the Defence Attache to Sri Lanka in the United States of America, Brigadier Chaminda Liyanage RWP RSP psc paid a courtesy call on General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) at his office on 23 January 2023.

During the affable meeting, the CDS shared his experience as the only officer to serve as an Ambassador whilst on service with Brigadier Chaminda Liyanage. He further highlighted the importance of discharging the duties in the new appointment of the betterment to the Sri Lankan Armed Forces, especially during these difficult times. The brief meeting terminated with the best wishes extended by the CDS.
