CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF ATTENDS DSA MALAYSIA - 2014
Chief of Defence Staff, General Jagath Jayasuriya left the Island for Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on 13th March 2014 to attend the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference - 2014 at the invitation of the Ministry of Defence of the Government of Malaysia. General Jagath Jayasuriya was accorded a red carpet welcome on his arrival at the Kuala Lumpur international airport and was received by the Malaysian Military officials and the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Malaysia HE Ibrahim Ansar.\r\n\r\nDefence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference - 2014 was inaugurated by YB Dato ' Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein, Minister of Defence, Malaysia on 13th evening at Dewan Perkasa, Wisma Perwira Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. 300 delegates from 40 countries attended the inauguration ceremony. This event will be attended by all Ministers, Senior Members of Government of Malaysia, Foreign and Local VVIP Delegates, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Exhibitors, and members of the press and government agencies. This four day exhibition and conference will be conducted on the theme: STRENGTHENING SECURITY AND REGIONAL STABILITY. General Jagath Jayasuriya, the Chief of Defence Staff of Sri Lanka had the opportunity of meeting a multitude of military chiefs across the world during the inauguration ceremony of DSA-2014 Malaysia on 13th March 2014.
