THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF WELCOMES THE KOREAN ARMY ATTACHE

The Korean Army Attache, Lieutenant Colonel Han Jonghun, of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in New Delhi accredited to Sri Lanka visited the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff this afternoon (04 October 2022) during his first official visit to Sri Lanka. The Chief of Defence Staff welcoming the visiting Army Attache of Korea, conveyed best compliments and wished him for a successful tenure.

During a cordial dialogue underwent, Chief of Defence Staff recalled the longstanding reciprocal bonds of goodwill, cooperation and mutual understanding between both the militaries and exchanged views on possible military exchange and training programmes for Tri Service members in the recent future.

Towards the end of the programme, General Shavendra Silva inviting the visiting Army Attache to experience the amazing natural beauties and the warm hospitality of Sri Lanka, exchanged mementoes marking the visit today.
