CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF WITNESSES THE ‘KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL 2022’

Upon the invitation extended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Santhush Woonijin JEONG to witnessthe ‘Korean Film Festival 2022’, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, was warmly welcomed to the event held at the BMICH on 23 September 2022.

In an attempt to share the rich cinematic culture of Korea, the festival was held after two years of a pause due to the global pandemic situation. The event had been organised by the Korean Embassy in Colombo together with the Korean Film Council.

The grand festival was also attended by a number of diplomats, Hon Speaker of the Parliament along with parliamentarians, artists, and media personalities.
