DEFENCE SECY & TRI SERVICE COMMANDERS WELCOME CHINESE DEFENCE MINISTER

Defence Ministry Secretary General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, together with Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva, Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Prasanna Payoe welcomed the visiting Chinese State Councillor and Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe who arrived in Sri Lanka on a two-day formal visit on Tuesday (27) late evening.

General Fenghe and his accompanying delegation will hold bilateral discussions with His Excellency the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Hon. Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa during the short stay in Sri Lanka. The visiting Chinese delegation In keeping with healthcare guidelines and ‘Air Bubble ' concept is expected to continue their bilateral discussions.
