DELEGATION FROM NDU CHINA ON MAIDEN VISIT TO SRI LANKA CALLS ON THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF
A thirty three member delegation from the National Defence University China called on the Chief of Defence Staff General Jagath Jayasuriya on 23 June 2014 during their maiden visit to Sri Lanka.\r\n\r\nThe delegation headed by Lieutenant General Wang Yongsheng Vice President of the National Defence University of the People 's Liberation Army comprises senior officers representing the Army, Navy and the Air Force. Lieutenant General Wang Yongsheng met with the Chief of Defence Staff where matters of mutual interest in the realms of academics, international relations and national security were discussed. The delegation attended a briefing by the Director General Operations and Systems and were hosted to tea thereafter with the Chief of Defence Staff an alumni of the National Defence University China in attendance.
