DESIGNATED DEFENCE ATTACHÉ OF SRI LANKA TO PAKISTAN MEETS CDS

The newly appointed Defence Attaché to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Colonel Kaminda Silva RSP USP psc called on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) today (17 March 23).

Going by the military traditions respected over the years, the new Defence attaché made his way to extend his courtesy prior to his assuming office at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Congratulating Colonel Kaminda Silva for his new achievement, the CDs highlighted the importance of the task he is entrusted with. Further, the CDS advised to work cooperatively with the respective Pakistan authorities to get the maximum benefits to the Sri Lankan Tri-Services whilst sharing his experience at the cordial meeting. Elaborating, further on the expectation of the country and the armed forces of Sri Lanka requested to discharge the duties and responsibilities to serve the best interests of the motherland.

The new Defence Attaché thanked the CDS for the shared knowledge and guidance whilst earnestly requesting continued support to effectively serve in the new appointment. The cordial meeting saw its end with the warm wishes extended by the CDS for a successful tenure in the new appointment.
