At the culmination of his entrusted duties as the Namibian Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka, Brigadier General Titus Simon called on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil at his office today (20 April).
The Defence Attaché of Namibia to Sri Lanka based in New Delhi, India took office on 11 January 2019 and since then maintained close and strong defence ties between the two nations. The outgoing Defence Attaché paid the courtesy gesture as a means of paying respect to the mutual support extended by General Shavendra Silva during the tenure.
Expressing his views, the CDS thanked the departing DA for all his commitment and coordination in promoting military relationships and conveyed his greetings to the higher authorities of the Namibian Defence Sector and also wished that the Sri Lankan Armed Forces are looking forward to strengthen the bond and mutual understanding, particularly in defence sector in times to come.
Marking the visit, tokens of goodwill were exchanged where the CDS wished the out-going Defence Attaché for his future endeavours.
