MAJOR GENERAL PALLAWALA, NEW CHIEF OF STAFF AT OCDS ACCEPTS OFFICE

Major General Ajith Pallawala of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) assumed office as the Chief of Staff at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) at BMICH premises on Tuesday (19) amidst religious blessings.

After brief religious observances, he placed his signature in an official document and symbolized the acceptance of the new office. Staff officers at the OCDS and several Other Ranks attended the occasion and extended their best wishes.

He was the General Officer Commanding of the 64 Division under the SFHQ-Mullaittivu before he took over this office.

He succeeds Major General Pooraka Senevirathna who recently retired from the Army.
