OCDS CONDUCTS ADVANCE CBRNE PREVENTATIVE AND RESPONDER COURSE FOR TRI-SERVICES
The Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) in collaboration with the National Authority for the Implementation of Chemical Weapons Convention, the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board and the Country Office for the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted a five day 'Advance Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive materials (CBRNE) Preventative and Responder Course ', for Tri-Services personnel recently.\r\n\r\nThe 5 day course was held from 23 - 27 April, at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps at 'Rock House ' camp in Muttuval. \r\n\r\nThirty Seven (37) commissioned officers: Army (19); Navy (15); Air Force (03)- in the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel to Captain and equivalent who had successfully completed the course were awarded certificates.\r\n\r\nChief of Staff, OCDS, Major General Nirmal Dharmaratne was the Chief Guest as the Certificate awarding ceremony accompanied by the Director General, General Services (DGGS) Major General Harendra Perera.
