PAKISTAN HIGH COMMISSIONER CONVEYS HIS CONDOLENCES OVER THE DEMISE OF MR LH CREASY SILVA

The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Major General (Retd) Umar Farooq Burki, HI (M) visited the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, today at his office premises.

The visiting High Commissioner expressed his heartfelt condolences over the demise of late Mr LH Creasy Silva, the beloved father of General Shavendra Silva who passed away on 13th September 2022 whilst undergoing medical treatments.

As practiced in their religion, the High Commissioner together with the Defence Attached of Pakistan in Sri Lanka prayed for the soul of late Mr Creasy Silva to enter the ‘eternity’.

During the meeting, upcoming bilateral matters of military interest and possible reciprocal training opportunities were also exchanged.

The Chief of Defence Staff conveyed his gratitude to His Excellency’s call on and presence to express condolences.
