RANJITH PERERA LAUNCHES “PRABHAKARAN’S RUTHLESS TERRORISM IN THE GUISE OF LIBERATION”

Mr. J F Ranjith Perera, a veteran military history writer, having completed his latest war literature titled “Prabhakaran’s Ruthless Terrorism in the Guise of Liberation” launched his publication as an E version today (15 December 2022) at a charming ceremony held at Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Colombo.

The publication written on four topics; “Prabhakaran’s Ruthless Terrorism in the Guise of Liberation, Are the Sri Lankan Security Forces Guilty of Genocide, How the LTTE violated Human Rights by Intentionally Committing Genocide and The Success Story of Rehabilitation & Re-Settlement” amply describes the history of three decade drawn civil war and the bitter consequences that both LTTE cadres and Sri Lankan Armed forces experienced.

General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, the Secretary of Defence, launched the E book gracing the occasion as the chief guest where Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Tri Service Commanders, and several more senior Tri Service officers attended the event.

Making concluding remarks at the ceremony, the Chief of Defence Staff added that the world should know, that the Sri Lankan Armed Forces never fought a war with the Tamil community or any other race and we are a disciplined and professional military that knows and respect the equity, brotherhood and coexistence. The CDS further highlighted, we fought with no one other than the most ruthless, and inhumane terrorist organization and defeated the terrorism and not any individual. Finally, the CDS appreciated Mr Ranjith Perera’s efforts taken to carry forward the real information of the war to future generations in the form of literature.
