WORKSHOP ON LEADERSHIP FOR TRI-SERVICE OFFICERS

The Brain child of The Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, in collaboration with the International Institute of Human Resource Management (IIHRM) conducted a five-day workshop on Value to Current Leadership Practices in the Military from 24th to 28th March 2014. The workshop was held at Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Rock House Camp, Mutwal.

This workshop focused on problem solving & innovative thinking, communication & innovative skills, understanding the personality of the military and mapping a service delivery philosophy. It is anticipated that the workshop will revalidate leadership practices and promote the image of the military.

Twenty two participants in the capacity of Commanding Officers of Tri-Services attended the workshop; they were immersed in innovative methods of leadership and management to extract the very best from the subordinates.

Director General Training and doctrine of the OCDS, Major General HCP Goonethileke, Senior officers and Founder President of the International Institute of Human Resource Management (IIHRM), Mr. Ranjeewa Kulatunga pioneered in organizing and facilitating the program.
