ADMIRAL RAVI WIJEGUNARATNE CHALLENGE SHIELD AWARDED TO BEST SEA SCOUTS PATROL OF ROYAL COLLEGE

The Royal College class of 80 organized the Admiral Ravi Wijegunaratne Challenge Shield to select the best Sea Scout Patrol of the Royal College Colombo for the consecutive 03rd time at Navy Complex Welisara on Thursday (08th August 2019).

The competencies on leadership, naval knowledge, knots/ splices, first aid, map reading, semaphore signalling and boat handling were tested in selecting the best Sea Scout Patrol.

The Shield which included cash prizes also was awarded to the Best Patrol of the Sea Scouts. The Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral RC Wijegunaratne who was a President Scout and the Troop Leader in 1979 graced awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest while former scout master of Royal College Mr. KH Amaradasa, members and the President of the Royal College class of 80, Mr. Sathyajith Seneviratne were present.

Mr. Senaka Seneviratne from USA who was a former scout and a strong supporter of the Royal College Scout Group was also present at the occasion.
