BANGLADESH DEFENCE ADVISER CALLS-ON CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF
Bangladesh Defence Adviser Commodore Syed Maksumul Hakim paid a courtesy call-on Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne at the Office of Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) at BMICH, this morning (16th October, 2017).
A cordial discussion was held between the two officials on matters of mutual interests. Defence relationship and cooperation between the two nations have risen into newer heights during the past few years, especially in training of personnel and exchange of expertise on security aspects.
Subsequent to the discussion mementos were also exchanged signifying the occasion.
Commodore Syed Makusumul Hakim (ND), BSP, ndc, ncc, psc, is a former graduate at the prestigious Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in United Kingdom. He had served on various staff and operational assignments including significant contributions at home and abroad in the UNPKO, in the region and in the Middle East.
Commodore Syed is also a recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal in 2015(BSP) awarded by the Honourable President of Bangladesh.
