CDS MEETS KEY MILITARY CHIEFS AT THE 16 DSA EXHIBITION IN MALAYSIA

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne met with key military Chiefs at the 16 edition of the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently. During the international Defence exhibition held from 16 - 19 April, Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne met with his Malaysian, Pakistan and Singapore counterparts: General Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of Defence Forces (Malaysia); General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (Pakistan); Major-General Melvyn Ong, Chief of Defence Force (Singapore). The cordial meetings focused on identifying possibilities of exchange of expert knowledge and training opportunities for Armed Forces personnel. In addition, defence matters of mutual importance were also discussed during the meetings held. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) led the Sri Lankan high ranking Defence delegation to the international defence exhibition which included the Commander of the Army - Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Navy Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro and Air Force Chief of Staff - Air Vice Marshal DLS Dias. DSA mark its 30 anniversary since its inception in 1988 and is now ranked as one of the world 's top 5 Defence shows. The exhibition is hosted, supported and co-organised by the Malaysian Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysia Police.
