CDS PAYS LAST RESPECTS TO THE CHIEF REVERENT OF THE MATALE ALUVIHARAYA

The Chief Reverent of the Aluviharaya Rock Temple at Matale and the lecturer of Siyol Dongguk University, South Korea, Dr Most Venerable Inamaluwe Nandarathana Thero has passed away on 13 November and the remains of the Most Venerable Thero lie at the Aluviharaya Rock Temple at Matale.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil visited the Aluviharaya Rock Temple where he paid his last respects to the Dr Most Venerable Inamaluwe Nandarathana Thero. General Shavendra Silva being a native of Matale expressed his deepest condolences to the resident monks and the Dhayaka Sabha of the temple. The CDS also engaged in a discussion with the monks of the cremation committee and looked into the arrangements.

Dr Most Venerable Inamaluwe Nandarathana Thero was also the Chief Incumbent of the Niththawela Rajamaha Viharaya, Matale, Talgahagoda Rajamaha Viharaya, Matale and Ancient Aloka Rajamaha Viharaya, Matale.
