CEYLON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SPEAKS HIGH DEGREE OF INTEREST, GENERATED BY CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF ADDRESS

An online platform video address, made by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) to the monthly meeting of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) as a Guest Speaker and its follow-up Question-Answer (Q & A) session this morning (28) came in for praise of the CCC.

His address focused on the thematic ‘Successful Management of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Sri Lanka and the Way Forward ' which in turn evoked deliberations in the CCC meeting.

The CCC invited Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva to join the sessions as a Guest Speaker in recognition of his continued contribution to the task against transmission of COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka. The live Q & A video session after the NOCPCO Head 's address sparked off interest and enthusiasm among those attendees in the CCC meeting.

A letter flashed to the Commander 's Secretariat afterwards by Mr Manjula De Silva, Secretary General and the Chief Executive Officer of the CCC stated that the "Question &Answer session was indicative of the high degree of interest the members had in the visionary and informative address delivered by the Head NOCPCO.”
