CHAMBER OF YOUNG LANKAN ENTREPRENEURS CELEBRATES ITS SILVER JUBILEE

The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) marked a momentous occasion, as it celebrated its 25th Anniversary at the Hilton Hotel, Colombo on the last evening (10 March 2024). COYLE is a business information portal that strengthens informal relationships while collaborating ventures and resources that generate new business opportunities.

The former Speaker of Parliament, Honorable Karu Jayasuriya graced the occasion as the keynote speaker. Addressing the gathering, Hon Karu Jayasuriya extended warm congratulations to the COYLE and its dedicated members on reaching this significant milestone. He underscored the pivotal role that entrepreneurs play in driving economic progress and emphasised the importance of their contributions, particularly in today's rapidly evolving landscape.

The evening also featured a special message from His Excellency the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, further highlighting the government's support and recognition of the Chamber’s invaluable efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, has graciously attended the evening at the invitation extended by the COYLE. General Shavendra Silva commended the role of the Chamber and its members for their dedication and commitment to advancing entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka.

Marking the formalities the outgoing Chairman of the Chamber Mr Rasith Wickramasingha and the incoming Chairman Mr Thushira Raddella addressed the distinguished gathering. Both expressed their wish to the members of the Chamber and the well-wishers.

Adding to the festivities, the event was enriched with a variety of entertainment activities, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie among guests. The event, attended by the National Security Advisor Mr Sagala Ratnayake, Ministers, Parliamentarians, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, esteemed guests and members of the COYLE, was a testament to the enduring commitment of the Chamber to fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth within Sri Lanka's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
