CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF ATTENDS DSA MALAYSIA – 2016
Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke made an official visit to Malaysia as a member of the delegation led by State Minister of Defence Sri Lanka Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene from 17 to 21 April 2016 to attend the 15th Defence Services Asia (DSA 2016) Exhibition and Putrajaya Forum on the invitation of the Ministry of Defence of the Government of Malaysia.
The delegation on their arrival at the Kuala Lumpur international airport was received by the Malaysian Military officials and the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Malaysia His Excellency, Ibrahim Ansar. Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Putrajaya Forum was inaugurated by YB Dato ' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Minister of Defence, Malaysia on 18th morning at Exhibition Halls PWTC Kuala Lumpur. The Putrajaya Forum 2016 was opened by YAB Dato ' Sri Mohamed Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia on the theme Regional Cooperation in Addressing Security Challenges at Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke called on the Chief of Defence Force of Malaysian Armed Forces, General Tan Sri Dato ' Sri (Dr.) Haji Zulkifeli Bin Mohd Zin. Malaysian Defence Chief hosted an official dinner for the Chief of Defence Staff at Shangri La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
This event was attended by a multitude of military chiefs across the world, Ministers, Senior Members of Government of Malaysia, Foreign and Local VVIP Delegates, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Exhibitors, and members of the press and government agencies.
