CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF SUPERVISES INDEPENDENCE PARADE REHEARSAL

All pre arrangements are underway to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence Day parade with pride and dignity on 04 February 2023.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil along with Tri Service Commanders attended for a supervision of the parade rehearsals at the Galle Face Green yesterday. After witnessing the rehearsal, further instructions to improve the standard of the parade and other formalities were conveyed to the respective authorities.

The ceremony will be held with the usual pageantry with the participation of armed forces and the Police which are the main components of the parade.
