CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF VISITS KANDY

Honouring the traditions, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil paid homage to the Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy upon the assuming of office as the Chief of Defence Staff on 05 June 2022 and obtained blessings.

General Shavendra Silva also paid a visit to the Mahanayake and Anunayake Theros of Malwathu and Asgiriya Chapters. During the cordial call on, the Maha Sanga blessed the Chief of Defence Staff and highlighted the need of continued support and commitment towards the nation and its people.
