A CHINESE DELEGATION CALLS ON OCDS

A visiting six-member delegation of the Academy of Military Sciences of People 's Liberation Army (PLA) headed by Major General LIU Renxian paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne today (28th) at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff.

Major General DU Jian, Senior Colonel WANG Hanshui, Senior Colonel WANG Xiaobin, Senior Colonel YAN Wenhu, Senior Colonel LIU Zhongxing and Senior Colonel Xu Jianwei, Defence Attache to Sri Lanka of the People 's Republic of China were also present on the occasion. It was also the farewell call of Senior Colonel Xu Jianwei who is to leave Sri Lanka soon on completion of his tenure as Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka.

The courtesy call was followed by a brief presentation on the OCDS organization and current security situation in Sri Lanka.

A cordial discussions was held on matters of mutual interest with a special focus on training and mementos were also exchanged on the occasion as a gesture of goodwill.
