CHINESE NATIONAL DEFENCE UNIVERSITY DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY-CALL ON CDS
A military delegation from the National Defence University of China paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratnetoday( 22nd November, 2017).
The courtesy call was paid at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff(OCDS) at the BMICH,BauddhalokaMawatha.
The NDU delegation was led by Vice-President of the National Defence University,Major General Shi Zhongwuo, Peoples Liberation Army.
A cordial discussion was held between the delegates on training and professional development of military personnel including the exchange of expert knowledge. The Chief of Defence Staff highlighted the lasting China-Sri Lanka relationship and expressed his gratitude for the opportunities presented in the training and professional development of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces personnel.
Subsequent to the discussions held, mementos were exchanged signifying the occasion.
Maj Gen. Shi Zhongwu had joined the PLA in 1977 and has held various operational and staff appointments including Commandant of the Army Commanding College.
