A COPY OF THE HISTORY OF SLAF DIYATALAWA AND SLAF REGIMENT BOOK PRESENTS TO THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF
The Book titled \"The history of SLAF Diyatalawa and the Regiment\" written by Air Vice Marshal AB Soza (Retd) and Wing Commander SR Ratnapala (Retd) was presented to the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff on 11th February 2016.\r\n\r\nThis project was initiated during the period, the Chief of Defence Staff held the Office of the Commander of the Air Force. The Author, Air Vice Marshal AB Sosa (Retd) was the pioneer in setting up the SLAF Regiment and held many senior appointments which includes the first Director Ground Operations during his 33 years (1958 - 1990) of distinguish service. The Co - Author Wing Commander SR Ratnapala (Retd) also served in the SLAF for 20 years (1962 - 1982) and held many important senior staff appointments.\r\n\r\nThis book attracts the acute place of the heart of many Officers and Other Ranks who passed through the \"Stable Hill\" Camp or the gates of \"The Cradle of the SLAF Diyatalawa\".
