THE DEFENCE ATTACHÉ TO THE SRI LANKAN EMBASSY AT BEIJIN CALLS ON CDS

The newly appointed Defence Attaché to the Sri Lankan Embassy at Beijin, Peoples Republic of China, Colonel Bandula Kodippili psc paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) today (28 March 23).

Respecting the military traditions, the new Defence Attaché made his way to extend his courtesy before his assuming office at the Sri Lankan Embassy at Beijin.

Congratulating Colonel Kodippili for his new achievement, the CDS highlighted the importance of the task he is entrusted with. Further, whilst sharing his expertise, the CDS advised the designated Defence Attaché to work cooperatively with the respective Chinese authorities to acquire the maximum benefits for the Sri Lankan Tri-Services. Similarly, elaborating, on the expectation of the country and the armed forces of Sri Lanka, the CDS requested to discharge the duties and responsibilities so that the best interests of the country are amicably served.

The new Defence Attaché thanked the CDS for the shared knowledge and guidance whilst earnestly requesting continued support to effectively serve in the new appointment. The cordial meeting saw its end with the warm wishes extended by the CDS for a successful tenure in the new appointment.
