DIRECTOR GENERAL OF DEPARTMENT OF SRI LANKA COAST GUARD PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON CDS

In line with the military traditions respected by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces, the newly appointed Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana USP ndu paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil today (16 Feb 23) at Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS).

CDS congratulated the new Director General warmly welcoming him to the office. During the brief discussion, CDS spoke of the challenging duties and tasks that the department has to address in the recent future. As the department is mainly tasked with coast guard duties within the territorial waters of Sri Lanka, CDS assured his continuous support to the new Director General Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana in discharging his entrusted duties.

Marking this official occasion, the CDS and the new Director General exchanged mementos at his office.
