GENERAL SHAVENDRA SILVA APPRECIATES OUTGOING CHIEF OF STAFF OCDS

Major General Rohitha Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc who held the seat as the Chief of Staff at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) relinquished the appointment and was appointed as the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Pallekele.

The outgoing senior officer, Major General Rohitha Aluvihare was initially appointed to OCDS as the Director General General Staff and subsequently he was elevated as the Chief of Staff - OCDS. Major General Rohitha Aluvihare having discharged successful tenures in both capacities paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil in the morning hours on 15 December 2022.

General Shavendra Silva during the affable meeting, appreciated Major General Rohitha Aluvihare’s committed discharge of duties; setting an example and galvanizing a higher level of cooperation and coordination among the Tri Services, Police and the civil organizations.

Towards end of the interaction, General Shavendra Silva, expressed his best wishes for good health and all success in his future appointment and presented an appreciative memento to this battle hardened and professional senior officer in recognition of his diligent professional ethics and valuable contribution to the premier Tri Service Headquarters.
