GRADUATION CEREMONY OF THE DSCSC HELD AT THE NELUM POKUNA

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), the highest seat of military learning for middle grade officers of the Tri Forces, saw the crowning moment of the student officers of Course No16 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre at the evening of 08 December 2022.

Honorable Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka graced the graduation and investiture ceremony as the Chief Guest and was welcomed by the Commandant DSCSC, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG and members of the Board of Management.

A total of 148 Tri Service middle grade officers comprising of 126 Officers from the Sri Lanka Tri-Services and 22 Officers from friendly foreign countries graduated.

The ceremony was attended by Mr Sagala Rathnayake, the Senior Advisor to the President on National Security, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Tri-Service Commanders, Inspector General of Police, Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Commandant of National Defence College. The Heads of the Diplomatic Missions and other members of the Diplomatic Corps, Former Commandants of the College, Members of the Academia, Senior Officers of the Tri Services, Spouses, and parents of the graduates were also among the distinguished guests.
