INDIAN VICE CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF PAYS COURTESY CALL ON CDS
Vice Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Karambir Singh, AVSM, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne this evening (09 October, 2017).\r\n\r\nA cordial discussion was held between to the two officials on matters of bilateral security interests. \r\n\r\nMementos were also exchanged signifying the occasion. \r\n\r\nVice Admiral Karambir Singh is a Naval aviator and an aluminai at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasala. Commissioned in 1982, his unblemished career spans over 36 years. VAdm Karambir Singh has held many operational and staff appointments including Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command; Chief of Staff of the Tri-Services Unified Command at Andaman and Nicobar islands and as the Flag Officer Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area(FOMAG).\r\n\r\nVice Admiral Karambir Singh is also a recipient of the prestigious Ati-Vishishta-Seva Medal (AVSM) awarded by the Hon.
