INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE PAYS A FAREWELL CALL ON CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF
The outgoing Inspector General of Police, Mr. N.K. Illangakoon on the eve of his retirement from the service, paid a farewell call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff on 08 April 2016.
The Police Chief was introduced to the Director Generals and Directors of the OCDS by the Chief of Defence Staff. During the cordial discussion, both the Chief of Defence Staff and IGP exchanged pleasantries and shared views, reminiscing the close cooperation that has prevailed between both organizations.
The outgoing Police Chief left a complimentary remark in the Visitors ' Book and he was presented a memento by the Chief of Defence Staff to mark the occasion.
