JAPANESE DEFENCE ATTACHE CALLS ON CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF

Captain Yuuki Yokohari the Defence Attaché the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka made a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil morning hours today (09 February) at the premises of Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS).

The CDS extended a warm welcome to the visiting Defence Attaché and appreciated his customary military gesture of renewing the established bilateral military relations between the two nations. These regular visits are paid with the intention of upgrading themselves with the current situation of the country. During the meeting, the CDS briefed the DA on the relevant areas and wished him to discharge his duties for the betterment of both countries.

The visiting DA thanked the CDS for his time and opportunity and Captain Yuuki Yokohari assured the continued strong relations in times to come. The CDS presented a memento following the discussion to mark the occasion.
