LIONS CLUB OF COLOMBO CEYLON EXCELLENCE DONATES MILLIONS WORTH ORTHOPEDIC MATTRESSES

Extending the generous charity, the Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence (Lions Clubs International District 306C2) and Dubai Ceylon Lions Club donated 300 Orthopedic Mattresses to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil today (01 March 2023) at OCDS premises.

The donation was handed over to CDS on the advice of His Excellency President Ranil Wickremesinghe the Chief Advisor / Patron and Honorary Member of Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence.

The bulk of mattresses which is worth Rs.2.4 million is to be distributed among the neediest people/ medical institutions continuing the social responsibility of the Seva Vanitha Branch of OCDS in due course.

Officials of the Lions Club International 306 C2 Lion President Ayesh De Silva, Club Secretary Lion Prasad Weerakoon, Cabinet Secretary District 306 C1 Lion Samith Mapalagama, Deputy Treasurer Lion Victoria Thissera and the Board Director Lion Hapugala attended the event.

During the occasion, President Lion Ayesh De Silva awarded the international membership certificate to General Shavendra Silva and pinned the logo symbolizing the membership.
