A NEW HOUSE TO A WELL DESERVING FAMILY

Shouldering to fulfil yet another social obligation, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, the Chief of Defence Staff ceremonially handed over the newly constructed house to the much needy family in Mathale on 26 August 2022.

The construction, which was funded by Mr Uditha and Mrs Anusha Subhasinghe in celebration of their 25th Wedding Anniversary, was completed by the troops of 8th Gajaba Regiment of Sri Lanka Army.

The social event was coordinated by the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Office of Chief of Defence Staff. Marking the event, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch headed by Mrs Sujeewa Nelson distributed stationary items to the children of the family with the best wishes for a brighter future.
