OFFICER CADETS’ FINAL PRESENTATION HELD AT THE SRI LANKA MILITARY ACADEMY AUDITORIUM

The Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyatalawa witnessed a remarkable culmination as the passing out officer cadets delivered their final presentation at the state of the art 'Sino-Lanka Friendship' auditorium yesterday (15 December) evening. This event served as a prelude to their imminent commissioning day, showcasing the dedication and knowledge of the cadets.

The spotlight of the evening was the thought-provoking well researched presentation on the "Enhancing the UN Peacekeeping Capabilities of Sri Lanka Army” eloquently presented by selected officer cadets from intakes of Regular Intake 92, Intake 92 Bravo and Intake SC 20.

The distinguished presence of His Excellency the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, gracing the occasion as the chief guest, added eminence to the event. The gathering also included General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, the Commander of the Army, past Commandants of SLMA, and many senior officers from the Army.

The event was an exemplary display of academic prowess and dedication by the officer cadets, showcasing their grasp of global affairs and Sri Lankan stance. The insightful discourse provided a glimpse into the comprehensive education and training imparted at SLMA, preparing these cadets for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.
