ONE EXPATRIATE FROM MALDIVES CONFIRMED POSITIVE TO COVID-19 - NOCPCO

The Flight No QR 668 from Doha with 03 passengers and Flight No EK 2528 from Dubai with 271 passengers arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (23rd June 2020). All of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri services for necessary quarantine process, a statement issued this morning (23rd June 2020) by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.\r\n\r\n32 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Minneriya (30) and Diyatalawa (2) will leave for their homes today (23rd June 2020) after conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates.\r\n\r\nBy today (23rd June 2020), a total of 16,215 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes. As of now, 4,040 persons are in quarantine in 41 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.\r\n\r\nBy this morning (0600 am), an expatriate from the Maldives in quarantine at Brandix Poonani was confirmed positive to COVID-19. Similarly, 28 individuals, 15 overseas-based Sri Lankans and 13 heroic sailors after recovery left hospitals today (23rd June 2020), the statement ended.
