OUTGOING JAPANESE DEFENCE ATTACHÉ CALLS ON CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF

The outgoing Japanese Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka, Captain Atsuhiro Morero paid the farewell call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Admiral RC Wijegunaratne at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff at BMICH today (23rd July).

Admiral Wijegunaratne expressed his gratitude to Captain Morero for the diligent cooperation extended during his tenure, strengthening the bilateral defence relations and cooperation between the two states.

Captain Morero also expressed his gratitude to the CDS and Sri Lanka Armed Forces for all the support extended to him in discharging his duties efficiently and effectively. Meanwhile, the newly appointed Japanese Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka, 1st Lieutenant Gaku Fukaura was also present on this occasion.

Subsequent to the cordial discussions held, Admiral Wijegunaratne presented a souvenir to the out going Defence Attaché to remember his stay in Sri Lanka.
