REAR ADMIRAL DHIREN VIG CALLS ON CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF

Indian Navy 's, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation & Intelligence ) Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig called-on the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne today ( 07th February, 2018). The meeting between the two senior military officials were held at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS). Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig was accompanied by the Indian Defence Adviser to Sri Lanka Captain Ashok Rao. A cordial discussion was held between the two officials on matters of bilateral defence cooperation. Following the discussion mementos were exchanged signifying the event. Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig, is a Gunnery Specialist and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01st January 1986. He is a graduate of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (TN) and the Naval War College, Mumbai. He has served through a myriad of operational and staff appointments. These include Commands of the Guided Missile Frigate INS Betwa, Frigate INS Udaigiri, 1241RE Missile Vessels INS Nirbhik & INS Vidyut and Second in Command of the Missile Corvette INS Khukri. Rear Admiral Dhiren has received commendations from the Chief of the Naval Staff and Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command during his career.
