SANDAHIRUSEYA ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE COMPLEX COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION

The ‘Sandahiruseya’, one of the largest pagodas in the island, declared open last year was erected as a tribute to the memory of the fallen Tri-Service war heroes and to invoke blessings on the wounded and the handicapped as well as to the serving members of the armed forces.

Long felt necessity, the Administrative Office Complex of the Sandahiruseya was declared open amidst religious blessings upon the completion of its construction at the participation of the Secretary of Defence, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, to the occasion as the chief guest.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Tri Service Commanders, Commandant CSD and many senior military officers attended the occasion.
