SECRETARY DEFENCE OF PAKISTAN ARRIVES IN SRI LANKA
The Secretary Defence of Pakistan, Lieutenant General (retd) Ikram UI Haq along with a delegation comprising six other defence officials arrived in Sri Lanka today (02nd October) on a four-day official visit to participate in the Sri Lanka - Pakistan Armed Forces Defence Dialogue, scheduled to be held on 03rd and 04th October at the Ministry of Defence.\r\n\r\nThe Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral RC Wijegunaratne with the officials of Pakistan High Commission received the visiting delegation at the Bandaranaike International Airport.\r\n\r\nDuring the visit, the Defence Secretary of Pakistan is scheduled to meet Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne P.C. the Defence Secretary of Sri Lanka , the Chief of Defence Staff and the Tri Forces commanders to discuss the matters of professional interests.\r\n\r\nThe dialogue aims to further strengthen the defence ties between two countries and promote mutual cooperation in fighting the common regional security challenges
