Sergeant Major Anthony A. Spadaro, Command Senior Enlisted Leader for the U.S Pacific Command paid a courtesy call with the Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne this morning ( 3rd April, 2018) at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff(OCDS) at BMICH. \r\n\r\nA cordial discussion was held between Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne and Sergeant Major Anthony Spadaro on future training, security cooperation opportunities and on enlisted development initiatives. \r\n\r\nMementos were also exchanged subsequent to the discussion.\r\n\r\nSgtMaj Spadaro was enlisted to the U.S Marine Corps in 1985 and since has served in various tactical and operational capacities. In addition to providing the enlisted perspective to his command, SgtMaj Spadao is also responsible for mentoring senior enlisted leaders of the U.S Pacific Component Command. \r\n\r\nHis operational assignments also include deployment with the 1st Marine Division in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. \r\n\r\nIn addition, SgtMaj Spadaro holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and is currently reading for his Masters of Arts Degree from Rutgers University. He has also received awards and decorations including the Legion of Merit (with Gold Star). \r\n\r\nIn addition, he was inducted into the Honourable Order of Saint Barbara in 1996. \r\n
