The third Leadership Workshop for Unit Commanders for 2015 developed by the Intercontinental Institute of Human Resource Management (IIHRM) under the guidance of the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff was successfully conducted from 2nd to 6th November 2015 at the Auditorium at RHQ SLAC. Senior officers from the Tri services, functioning as Unit Commanders or equivalent appointments participated at the workshop. The workshop focussed on problem solving and innovative thinking, communication and innovative skills, understanding the personality of the military and mapping a service delivery philosophy. It was aimed to add currency and value to current leadership practices in the military.\r\n\r\nThe programme conducted by Mr. Ranjeewa Kulatunga, HR Advisor & Managing Director/Chief Consultant at IIHRM, along with some of the leading personalities in the respective fields namely Mr. Sujith Bandulahewa, Mr. Lasantha Liyanage and Mr. Kumara Galhenage. Certificates were presented to the officers who took part in the programme by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the presentation ceremony which was held at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff on 6th November 2015. \r\n
